As the sun dipped below the horizon, the fleeting colors of dusk began to fade away. The charcoal-black rocks circled around small pools of water, shimmering confidently before dark fell upon them.

When you take a romantic beach and a beautiful sunset, and really look at it.... it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people these days rush around so, they have no time to look at such beauty. I want them to see it through my eyes. To recreate Gods beauty is such a challenge, it becomes a wonderful and inspirational joy that I want all to see.

I enjoy the joy and excitement of bringing color to water and skies and also very much enjoy painting sunsets on sandy beaches to remind me of my favorite island in the Pacific. I look at these type of scenes as the ones most resembling the vast beauty of our wonderful world and the intense variation every single day holds in it.

The beauty of the Hawaiian Islands led me to continue my artistic ambition after returning to New Orleans with the experienced teaching of Ms: Emily Sumrall.
